CHOOSE PEOPLE

If you have to choose between saving others or having a really productive farm, choose people. When we say farm, we’re speaking in a very broad term, because we want to keep it simple, and we want to keep it scalable. 

The last message for this dying world, we’re told, is the message of Christ our Righteousness. And this message is best illustrated through agriculture. What happens on a farm every season represents what Christ is doing with his righteousness in us. And this is what drives us.

Our main focus since 2014 is our program called UCLife, it’s an Urban Youth Agricultural Training Center. Everything that we do as a non-profit, as a family, is to point towards being a presence of care. That’s our main concern.

Much of what’s happening in the world today is because people don’t care. And as Christians, our primary function is to help people. Our primary function to humanity is to be a presence of care. When no one else cares, we care.

UCLife brings youth and families of different backgrounds together. UCLife is a vehicle, the vehicle that God has blessed us with in order to carry the message of the cross.

We are reconcilers. What we do in life is the vehicle which we’re to use. Now, our heart wants to see the gospel cross those barriers of race and socioeconomics. That’s our main goal. People working and living together through agriculture, through education, through health in order to break down what we think are satanic barriers.

Anything Satan can do to keep us apart. He doesn’t care. It could be your looks, your IQ, your color, your… it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t care. He has just as many tools at his expense, or at his availability, to separate us. Which is why it’s so important that Christ said, that they’ll know his Christians, his people, by how we love one another.
