A Prosoco Rep attended the bunkhouse build today to demo Prosoco Fast Flash to waterproof the window frame openings and 2″ over the OSB.
The rep was straight out of college, UT Memphis. He looked like a frat boy and was dressed like he was going on vacation. He came without one tool, except a set of knock off watercolor paint brushes. He probably drove up and was like, “Oh no!” He said’ “Okay, I’ll help you do two window halves.”
He didn’t even do a whole window! Then he was like, “Okay, thank you, and awesome. Buy from us.”
The windows were donated. They are replacement windows, so they don’t have flanges. A new window will have a flange all the way around the window. You just slide the window into the opening and screw the flange to the wall and then you tape that.
The Builder was not happy that we had replacement windows. Maybe it entailed more work on his end, but the window donation saved us around ten thousand dollars. He packed his crew up that day and said, “Okay, everybody, we’re going home. I’m not guaranteeing anything. Get whatever you want.”
