Venomous beestings can readily be treated with a charcoal poultice. I dissolved one tablespoon of charcoal with one tablespoon of flaxseed meal in a tablespoon of hot water, and waited 2 minutes for the mixture to congeal. I spread the gelatinous mixture onto a 2″x2″ 4 ply gauze, molding the poultice into his inner eye socket. I fixed the poultice in place with a large, adhesive bandaid. Six hours later, he removed the bandage to play basketball.
