Rock the Bike Activity Day


Health and Wellness Coordinator for Tanner Medical, Patricia Mitchell, planned 7 activity stations to get healthy and live well. Urban Community Life was invited to come along for a refreshing bike ride through the supplemented course, and to get our day off to a good start. Fruit smoothies were fender blended on a stationary bike by everyone involved. But none of us got even the smallest taste in that tiny cup offering, and there was still room for more healthful shots. A good 20 oz shake I make over my morning meal is a mellow, mint and mango:

Mint & Mango Shake
1 cup fresh mint leaves
1 cup frozen mango slices
1 cup chilled coconut water
1 tBsp fresh lime juice
1 tBsp lime zest
1/4 cup soaked cashews
1 cup ice
Blend all ingredients until smooth
